Step 1: Consultation

To get started, you will meet with our Med Spa staff and nurse practitioner, Rajul Parekh. During this consultation, Rajul will review your medical history, including any past or current medical conditions, medications, and previous treatments for hair loss. She will also examine your scalp to assess the extent and pattern of hair loss, as well as the quality of existing hair follicles. Based on this assessment, Rajul will develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Step 2: Blood Draw and Centrifugation

On the day of your hair restoration treatment, Rajul will draw a small vial of blood from your arm. This process is similar to getting a blood test at your primary care provider’s office. You can expect a small pinch when the needle is inserted, but no pain otherwise.

Once the blood is drawn, it is placed in a centrifuge machine. This machine spins at high speeds to separate the blood components. The primary goal is to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. This yellowish liquid contains growth factors and proteins that, when injected into the scalp, stimulate the formation of new hair follicles.

All in all, this step takes about 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 3: Administration

Next, Rajul will numb your scalp with a topical lidocaine solution. This will help minimize discomfort during the procedure.

Once the treatment area is numb, she will inject the platelet-rich plasma into your scalp using a fine needle. You may feel a slight pinch or pressure at the injection site. However, this pain is typically well-tolerated.

Step 4: Exosome Injection

Depending on your hair restoration treatment plan, Rajul may also inject an exosome-based solution into your scalp. Exosomes are small vesicles released by cells containing proteins, RNA, and other molecules. When injected into the scalp, these nanosized particles stimulate dormant follicles, improve follicle health, and reduce scalp inflammation.

Step 5: Post-Treatment Care

After treatment, Rajul will provide a three-month supply of hair growth vitamins to help stimulate new growth. She will also schedule additional treatments.

The initial treatment consists of three treatments, every two weeks. To maintain hair growth after the initial series of three treatments, you will need additional treatments every six to 12 months.
