Levulan Photo Dynamic Therapy

Levulan® is an aminolevulinic acid solution (a substance found naturally within your body).

First, we perform a microdermabrasion of your skin to prepare it by removing the outer layer of dead skin. Levulan solution is then applied to skin that's plagued by either acne, acneic scarring or in need of rejuvenation. The Levulan is left to absorb into your skin and the solution is taken up selectively by the abnormal skin cells in the treated area.
